The page displayed below is used for querying information from the Water Well Contractors table.  Some general notes on querying the site table follow:

 

Ø      The wild card character % will allow you to query for word(s) anywhere.

 

Ø      The Town, State, County, and License Types columns are drop down list columns.

 

Ø      Any combination of columns may be used to formulate your query. 

 

 

A query can be built in many ways and some examples follow:

 

1.

A user wishes to locate all companies in a specific town such as CONCORD, NH.

 

1.         Mouse-click  to clear any previous query parameters.

 

2.         EITHER locate the Town box and press the letter C key for the first town beginning with

            the letter “C” then press the letter C key repeatedly until CONCORD appears in the town box

            OR mouse-click the down arrow to the right of the Town box for a list of towns, use the scroll bar

            and scroll until you locate CONCORD and then mouse-click CONCORD to select it for querying.

 

3.         Mouse-click the down arrow to the right of the State box for a list of states, use the scroll bar

            and scroll until you locate NH and then mouse-click NH to select it for querying.

2.

A user wishes to locate all companies in any town with a name containing the word PLUMBING appearing anywhere in the name, i.e. JOHNS PLUMBING AND HEATING.

 

1.         Mouse-click  to clear any previous query parameters.

 

2.         Locate the Company box and key %PLUMBING%

 

3.         Mouse-click

 

3.

A user wishes to locate all companies in any town with a name containing the word PLUMBING located at the end of the name,  i.e.  JOHNS PLUMBING.

 

1.         Mouse-click  to clear any previous query parameters.

 

2.         Locate the Company box and key %PLUMBING

 

3.         Mouse-click

 

4.

A user wishes to locate all companies in CONCORD, NH with a name containing the word PLUMBING appearing anywhere in the name, i.e. JOHNS PLUMBING AND HEATING.

 

1.         Mouse-click  to clear any previous query parameters.

 

2.         Follow steps 2 and 3 in Example 1 and step 2 in Example 2.

5.         A user wishes to locate all companies that are licensed to construct a specific type of well, within their local geographic area.

 

1.         Mouse-click  to clear any previous query parameters.

 

2.         Mouse-click the down arrow to the right of the County box for a list of counties, use the scroll bar and scroll until you locate your county and then mouse-click on the county to select it for querying.

 

3.         Mouse-click the down arrow to the right of the Water Well Construction box for a list of well construction types (Dug wells, cable tool drilling, rotary drilling, washed and point driven wells), use the scroll bar and scroll until you locate the well construction type of interest and then mouse-click on the well type to select it for querying.

 

            4.         Mouse-click

 

Note: If your town is near the boundary of two or more counties and you wish to search a larger geographic area. Reset and choose the next closest county.
